  • The top “thing I wish I knew early in my career” from each panelist with guided input on:
    • How do you feel that the size of your organization affected your access to resources when you began your career?
    • What are some personal growth areas you think entry-level employees could benefit from seeking out on their own to enhance their professional skills early on?
    • How do you focus on your whole-self in this new remote work, career, life, and play environment? Are the needs different between the generations?

Nancy Cota – Senior Panelist
Vice President Own Brands, Innovation and Portfolio Management
Nancy has been in the retail grocery industry for 49 years! She leads the Albertson’s National Women’s group WIIN with over 2,500 members and is very passionate about the advancement of women. She excited to share with you what she says is “If I knew then what I know now I would have done some things differently”.

Miranda Sakschek – Junior Panelist
Division Commercial Planning Manager at TreeHouse Foods
Miranda Sakschek has worked at TreeHouse Foods for four years, and currently holds a role of Manager of Division Commercial Planning. Before being appointed as the WISE Jr. Board Member for Communication and Social Media, Miranda served as a WISE Mentor Circle Mentor Lead in 2020. Outside of work, you can find her painting, hiking, practicing yoga, or snuggling her two fluffy pups. Miranda holds a BS in Nutritional Sciences with an emphasis in Marketing and Integrative Medicine, and is thrilled to be a part of the WISE Jr. Board of Directors!

Nabiha Asfar – Junior Panelist
HRIS Operations Analyst at Topco Associates
Nabiha currently works at Topco Associates as an HRIS Operations Analyst, overseeing our HRIS system, reporting and assisting with compensation. She graduated from DePaul University with a bachelor’s degree in Management with a concentration in Human Resources and a minor in Hospitality Leadership. She also currently serves on the Recruitment Committee for the WISE Junior Board.

Angela Atamian – Moderator
Human Resources Generalist at John B Sanfilippo & Son, Inc
Angela recently moved from managing the office at JBSS to Human Resources and obtained her sPHR certification in order to take the next steps with her new career. Prior to JBSS she’s held various operational management roles within the food manufacturing industry and holds a bachelors degree in marketing from Northern Illinois University.
